ASP Expensive?????

I was talking to a guy that works with the county over the school I am doing webdesign for.. I told him I wanted to use ASP to design their website and he said that it would cost us about 5 grand to find a cheap ASP host. I told him he was crazy and that I can get 25 megs for $1 a month, and he said no way.. I showed him the link and he said that that really wasn't ASP , but some kind of generic... Is this guy right and ASP to run on a server is that expensive... or Is this guy just a wierdo that doesn't know anything???

PS: I spent all day fixing 4 computers that this guy "fixed". What he did was he just decided that windows didn't need the System32 folder anymore....

You're right, he's insane. ASP is free on any Windows server. $1 per month is cheap, I usually set clients up with $6-$20 / month plans.

Also.... you simply cannot delete the system32 folder.... windows WILL NOT LET YOU.....
the only way to do this is in dos.... and if you have an ntfs file system.... hmmm good luck.

He might be thinking about a dedicated server with a windows server os.... sure that can cost a lot. He needs to learn about the wonders of shared hosting...!
