Help building a simple shopping cart in ASP
My friend needs to build a simple shopping cart using ASP and a MS Access database for a piece of coursework. They have already built a simple HTML design; just need help with the shopping cart, as they have almost no knowledge in ASP.
The site does not have to be live on the Internet and no real money is needed to be involved in transactions, my friend just needs to give a demonstration of how it all works. By simple shopping cart, I mean users register, add products to their basket and check out, paying via paypal or something, it doesn't matter about SSL etc as the transaction is not real. There doesn't need to be banner rotations, newsletters, shipping calculations or anything like that, it is all quite simple. If anyone is willing to help or give some advice then I will build you a website for free, a flash website, a flash banner, a flash presentation, whatever. check out www.aspin.com and look at the shopping carts there. There are one or two free ones which ~I'm sure will serve your basic need.

Hi There Rob.
Thanks for taking the time to look over my request and submit a suggestion. I have actually looked over the examples that you suggested previously, but - as silly as it may sound - found them to be too complex! My friend is hopping to build a shopping cart system, so I am just looking to collect very simple examples of the fundamental requirements for a shopping cart system so that they can then go on to build their own. Therefore packages containing over 50 files each with say 700 lines of code are not excellent reference points as much of it will be handling different currencies etc which are not relevent. I think what my friend is looking for is maybe someone good at ASP that could offer some advice as to how to go about building a very simple shopping cart, just the basics.
