.htaccess image hot-link redirect not working as it should

Hi,

As others have done, I have copied some code into my .htaccess file, thus:

There are more spiders but I omitted them here. The thing is that a hot-link to any image on my site should redirect and show the shaggysheep.jpg image, but it seems to be very hit-and-miss, most of the time it just shows a broken image symbol. Anybody any clue as to why? The link to the sheep image is correct (you can try it if you like).

I think that it ias more SEO related question, maybe better reask that in the SEO section?

Nope, nothing to do with SEO, it's entirely about preventing people hot-linking to my images, it seems to be working now anyway so perhaps this thread should be closed.
