Ad management on website: Please help

Hello Gurus,

I want to have banner ads on my website, so I can start making some money. I am a novice in the area on Internet Advertising. Could you please help me and answer the questions below?

1) I want a very easy way to manage the ads on the site (place and rotate ads on different pages, get money from the advertisers for the ads they place etc..) . PLUS, I also want a very easy way for the advertisers to submit ads, make payment and view the stats.
What is the best way for this? Would using a ad management script like Openads or Revsense serve the purpose?

2) I want to manage the ads myself and also use other ad networks like Turn or Adsense. Can I manage both using any ad management script?

3) Most things I have found so far, are a bit complex. I want to make it as simple as possible; for me and my advertisers. For example, an advertiser should be able to just upload his banner ad, make a payment and it will appear automatically on my website; simple. Is it possible?

Please also give any other suggestions or tips you may have.

Thanks a lot in advance...

I think adbrite.com has most of these features.

Re: Ad management on website: Please help

Adbrite is a separate Ad network like Turn or Adsense. I am leaning towards having my own script on my website so I can manage the ads myself.

Could you tell the pros and cons between developing/using my own script to manage the ads on my site myself and using ad network like google adsense etc..?

I personally like the former as I think I can make more money with that and keep the interface simple for me and my advertisers. Is it a true assumption?

If you are sure you can get advertisers and get a lot of money of them, go ahead and develop your own script.
Else use adsense or something.
What language you using anyway? PHP, ASP?

Re: Ad management on website: Please help

The only problem I see with having your own script and advertisers is that you have to find them first. Unless you have a high traffic site that is very much in demand and you think people will beat down your door to advertise, you are probably better off with adbrite, adsense, etc. They have advertisers already lined up and can add them to your site instantly. Maybe you should see how that works out first.
