Google woes...

I just got an email from Google saying that my site hasn't been approved cos I already had another under same name. That's correct. I thought I'd create another fresh account to separate my 2 sites.

But - now i can't access the original account! I emailed them back and just wondered what people think about this. Are they supposed to cancel all your accounts just cos u sign up for a separate one under similar details?

Re: Google woes...

An AdSense account does not exist for this login, as it is associated with an unapproved application. For more information about your application, please review the message we sent to the email address you provided with your application.

Silly me deleted the email but it basically said the same. I know Google encourage you to put all your sites under one login but i didn't think/know it would mean a suspended account. What can I do now that they have both my sites on record? I'm really not trying to cheat them in any way. I want their adsense ads on my site, it was really working nicely.

Funny how they've kept my Adwords. I guess I'll have to go with Overture or something.

There's also some major catch 22s on the google login.

I want to sell my items on Froogle and it says you can access their services from inside your account but there's nothing about it.

Re: Google woes...

Hello Timothy,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. While reviewing your
application, we noticed that our records show your account information
matches a currently approved AdSense account. Because our program
policies do not permit multiple accounts, we're unable to accept your
application for the program at this time.

If you have previously applied and been approved for the program, a
notification was sent to tim@crewsfx.com with details on getting
started. We will be happy to re-send this notification to you in the
event that you have not received it.

Please note that the Google AdSense ad code and search code are valid
for any page in any site on which you want to display Google ads or an
AdSense for search box. In addition, there is no need to send us the
new URL. Simply add the HTML code to any page that complies with our
program policies, and we'll automatically detect the new site.

If you believe our evaluation of your application is inaccurate or you
are having difficulty logging in to your existing account, please reply
to this email and we will be happy to assist you further.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

----

Sounds to me like it should still be active. You also can't verify emails on google - that's the catch 22.
