Yeah, that definitely is more foolproof. However, I like using my mail program to send emails; I find it more convenient and personal. I don't always feel like the person received my email when using forms for some reason. Usually I'll use a server side script, but on my business site, I feel that it's more appropriate to provide all means of direct contact openly.
