Re: Web Hosting

No you do not have to use a UK based host....any host will work just fine. I would recommend one with a cpanel...because that makes your life easier. I will name you the top/best hosts...in my opinion.

1. Site5.com
2. godaddy.com (Most people's #1...but that is because they have never used backstage...lol)
3. hostgator.com

I would strongly recommend the #1 host...they have an unbelievable amount of bandwidth, as well as disk space, and excellent support!! So in short...site5.com is the way to go. Look at their $5 dollar plan...it is only $120 for two full years of hosting...and you get backstage!!

If you have any questions or comments please let us know, we would love to help you further.

Re: Web Hosting

I use them and they are great.

Re: Web Hosting

The good thing about having a UK basd server, is that you will show up in UK only results... many search engines including Google offer UK only results.

Re: Web Hosting

Depending on the purpose of your web site, you may need to consider legal issues when choosing a hosting location.

For example, if you are UK based and processing personal information, then it's against EU law to transmit personal details outside the EU without that persons express permission.

Re: Web Hosting

Yeah, site5 is the best...in my opinion...I don't think I will ever change...unless I can get more disk space, and bandwidth somewhere else cheaper...but I don't think that will happen...lol

Re: Web Hosting

All that space is good, but once you need more processing power, a VPS or dedicated server will make you change host. I noticed site5 have no VPS/dedicated plans?
