I started my first web page with publisher also. Of course, it wouldn't do what I wanted it to so I started trying to tweak the code but I knew nothing at all about it. So, I started digging through the web looking for the best way to learn how to make web pages. Turned out, learning how to create web pages isn't all that hard. And when you know the basics of the code you can get normal web pages to do what you want. Just don't look at the code on your publisher page. That's not html.
