Uploading clean images

Hello,

I'm creating a webpage where viewers can upload up to three pictures. I want to make sure they do not have any viruses that can affect the web server. How can I accomplish this?

I find it highly unlikely for a virus to be in a picture...but within your Cpanel, you should be able to spiffy for your virus scanner to scan all files before they are put into that dictionary.

Why do some of my posts go randomly missing? Using some of PHP's image functions, you can check to make sure the file being uploaded is indeed an image. That'd probably be the best way. I don't know if you can hide a virus inside an image, but I would think not as it would need some type of application to start doing bad things.

Yeah, the chances of getting a virus from a website is rather slim...even MacAfee can block that...lol
