I get my webspace (domain not included) for $1 a month. It's a great deal, although its not UK. Guess that would be more of a Redirect www.whatever.uk thing though. Also, not sure about the specs. But check it out. http://www.ucvhost.com .

SenorBadger, you can also use PayPal as they can accept Solo and through PayPal you can pay any number of international companies.

http://www.hostsearchuk.com/ is good for UK hosting.

http://www.hostreview.com/ is excellent for very cheap US hosting.

In my experience best to avoid, unless you like your site to go down several times a day and enjoy speaking to 17 year old tech virgins on their 'tech support' line.

Fasthosts is really dire. We once had a machine on FH with an uptime of 73%, that was in a week when fasthosts was running normally, not on the two occasions when their whole network was offline for 2-3 days.

Remember, the plague is curable, FH isn't. Avoid accordingly.

Their standard hosting package costs £25 for two years and includes 100MB of space with 1GB of bandwidth each month. I use them for three of my sites.

heh.. any of you who used www.ucvhost.com or are using them.. After some very very very very aggrivating talks with tech support and such, they STILL won't fix my server. They are trying to charge me for something I have already paid for... I keep telling them I won't pay, and they keep sending me emails like everyday. Its really starting to tick me off. So, I have contacted them and told them if they don't fix this, then I will make sure they never forget it. So, please, if you were looking into using UCVhost.com look somewhere else. They will "lose" your information and ask you for numbers that don't exist and say, ohh we need that to help you. It's a trick... Well, they do have great hosting.. but the people there drive me insane.
