Animating Text Script

Hey everyone i digged out some script i wrote ages ago and this one is called Alert on Page script

Hey sorry people this is not Animatin Text i wrote the wrong Thread Name i am so sorry this is a Alert Popup window when visiting the site

And the point of this thread is to help people understand a little pf javascript i thought i help out a little ukgeoff theres no harm in helping someone out

I see where you're coming from, but links to larger reference lists of JavaScript functions would probably be more useful.

yes i no mate i am going to but i dont think ukgeoff wants me to the way he said it after i posted it mate but i think if this forum has stuff like this people will find it more easier and stuff but i wont upload any brilliant pone if they need erm then they pm me and we can sort something out cause i do have a few Javascripts i have wrote like a

Password Protect script which u add it to ur site and u input the password which is in the .js file and then they can view the page something like that i would have them pm me for it but things like Alerts i upload on here for nothing and see how it goes and if rob likes it then its all good cause then he might think of doing a Tutorials Page or something lol but for beginners

Yes, but what you posted isn't a script. It's an example of a function.

Yes ok but it still a Javascript code lol cause when people put this in the Head tag of there page and if they put "Welcome to my site" it will say that lol so yes it is a javascript function and a little cheeky one too cause you can say anything cause you can even make annoying javascripts which tell you to navigate aweay from this pgae and stuff so D javascript comes in useful cause theres so many scripts and functions out there that are free

This is a JavaScript function, not a user-made one...

Yes i no but i hand coded it i didnt go on net and download it i did it me self so i class it as mine lmao but i know i wasnt first person to do it but thought i would share with people if they wanted that sort fo thing on there site

I don't want to sound rude here, but alert('Welcome to my Web Site! '); is not a big accomplishment. It's great you're trying to learn JavaScript, but not only are you giving people bad ideas (like suggesting they implement a popup box as a welcom), but you're calling this "script" your own simply because you changed the value of alert. By that token, this script is mine:

no i not calling this script mine i wrote it my self while i was learning javascript and i put it so people get little understand of it and also "how is it your script" you didnt make it lol
