sitemap missing in action

Hi folks

Yea yea it's me again......
I'm having trouble with my sitemap.....through my hosting company i have set a sitemap for google...sounds great.....however when i submit my website through google it says 'sitemap error 404 (not found)'...i have tried submitting it numerous times to no avail....and am asking myself 'do i really have a sitemap' .....oh dear what to do?....any offers?

if you search google for "sitemap" you will find out pretty quickly that sitemaps are written in XML.

All you need to do then is search for "xml sitemap syntax" or something similar and im sure you'll find a helpfull website that contains a guide on how to both write a sitemap yourself and then how to submit it correctly to google.

I really suggest you do this as premade tools are almost allways a pile of ##@? (ahem) anyhoo, its not difficult so give it a go.

Then follow the instructions on Google to get them to look at your site.
