PDF cmyk colour problem
Have been saving PDFs straight out of InDesign. No problems, the InDesign file is CMYK, as are all the images etc. When i set up my export options im setting the colour option to either Unchanged or CMYK, but the corresponding PDF is over saturated colours??? When i save it as RGB it doesnt seem to be a problem, looks how it should etc. Its not just on screen, when i print the colours are coming out saturated too.
Is it posible to convert a PDF from RGB to CMYK in Acrobat? Im sure i could do it in photoshop but im guessing it would take forever! Cheers A. |

Re: PDF cmyk colour problem
Sounds to me you may want to invest in Colorsync if you are on Windows. If you have a Mac then all is good. On OS X I use the Colorsync Utility to open a PDF and re-output it make sure its right etc.. The best part is I can take a 200MB PDF, tweak it and output a 2 or 3 MB PDF with no visual quality loss. It is an awesome thing.
