Re: SEPTEMBER Nominations - Submit Here

Hey guys:

HPDBONLINE.com

This site was made for me by the guys down at DesignCreek.com and is a Harry Potter fansite. It has an active community of members, news, forums, and a great atmosphere. It was made using Koomla, so it is a pretty simple website, nothing technically brilliant, but I think its features and ideas behind it make it a great user experience.

The best bits of this site:
Catchy and cool design
User-edited Database
Dedicated members
Ease and simplicity of use
Even layout of controls

I think the site should win because it is a very user-friendly and intelligently-designed site that delivers an incredible user experience for those in the Harry Potter fandom.

Thanks

Jared Hill.

Re: SEPTEMBER Nominations - Submit Here

I know I'm not going to win but I want to submit my site

http://www.creative-myspace.com/forums2

I hope message boards are allowed to be submitted. If not then I'm sorry because I read the rules and was looking to see if they weren't or not.

Re: SEPTEMBER Nominations - Submit Here

Yeah, I don't know if message boards can or cannot, they have style like other sites so I will ask and find out. The problem I see is that they are not usually user constructed i.e. you probably didn't build the message board back end and they use themes so it may get tricky on that point.

Re: SEPTEMBER Nominations - Submit Here

Unless a message board has a ultra original style (and lets face it, thats ultra hard to do without breaking the familiar user interface everyone is used to) then it prolly has an equal chance as a snowball does of surviving hell.

Re: SEPTEMBER Nominations - Submit Here

Well i might as well give my site a go.

http://www.freewebs.com/powderhound11/

i built it because i wanted to learn how to build websites (this is still my first site, in idea but not in style) i have changed the style several times but i'm happy with the one now. Because i don't do this for a living and i go to school, i haven't built everything and a lot of pages are being built one by one.
I'll tell what is up and running though:
-the index
-ski resorts page and inside that, perisher blue and hotham
-the contact page
-the location map page
-and the under construction page.

i have a lot to do but when its done my site will be awesome

Well, you don't have to submit my message board into the contest. I was just putting it just incase cause I know I'm not going to win anyways
