When doing your movie clip you can actually drag your movie clip Over so when you double-click it it will let you edit your (Movie Clip) slider. This way you can make your slider as long as you want without any complications. I have a slider that is almost 5000 pixels wide. Your position of your movie clip Should Always be determined at the beginning of your code. This will keep you from having to drag the thing Too much. Hope that Helps.
