Re: Customised cursor

you can only do this in Internet Explorer (to my knowledge)...

Use the following CSS:-
Code: Select all
<style>
<!--
BODY{
cursor:url("mycursor.cur");
}
-->
</style>
Of course, you will need an application that can produce .cur (cursor) files.

Re: Custom cursor

Can I just interrupt you...

Have you fully thought about why you want to do this? I don't think custom cursors are a very nice feature of any site to be honest. They annoy and confuse. It would have to be a very nicely done cursor for me to change my mind.

If I were you... I'd leave this alone.

Can we see the site you want to use this on?

Re: Custom cursor

CSS can define cursors although not replace them with images as far as I know. This is handy for certain things such as a cross hair with arrows for an object that can be moved. Zoints utilizes this.

Re: Custom cursor

Yes but I don't count any IE specifics as a function. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Scroll bar styling can bite my left foot too heh

Re: Custom cursor

Matter of interest Bruno... I don't think it's a n00b site.
Maybe not professional but better than some of the n00b sites I see (lots better than my first sites too).
I didn't like the idea of changing the cursor when I first read this thread but, having seen the site, it makes much more sense now.
Keep it up, and good luck!
