CSS is no more than html in another form.
Sort of like an add-on for html.

You can build sites in html and CSS and can do both in notepad.
You normally have to refer one to the other so the pages know they have two sources of data.

Best way to get a website to be recognised by Google, is to tell Google it's there.

http://www.w3schools.com/ will help your CSS query

http://scribbling.net/help_the_googl..._your_web_site will help your google query.

Re: Bref Description Please???

Right, here goes...

CSS is a language that tells elements in HTML or XHTML (preferably the latter) what to look like and where to be positioned.

You don't BUILD sites in CSS you just tell a site you've alrady built what to look like.

Build my CSS files in either Notepad, Notepad++ or SimpleCSS by HostM.

I build my HTML in Code View of dreamweaver but this is personal preference. you could use Notepad, Notepad++ or a plethora of other editors. (pick your favourite)

I hope this claers things up.

Happy learning.

You could use anything to do it. if you want free Mozilla has a decent composer built in as long as you use it in code view also you can get nvu which is mozillas composer as a standalone application http://www.nvu.com I think. Alternately you could use Topstyle (Which costs money but kicks ass) or if you are on a Mac BBedit (Around $80 or so same as topstyle), skEdit, and plenty of freebies too such as Taco etc.. Best bet would be to check www.versiontracker.com and/or www.sourceforge.net for free web design solutions. If you can run xWindows etc CSSed is one hell of a powerful CSS Editor and there are also plenty of free open source projects for HTML etc.

Personally I use skEdit http://www.skti.org to hand code all my XHTML Strict and CSS. When I run windows on my MacBook Pro, I use notepad.

Re: Bref Description Please???

I do all my coding, accept css, in HTML-Kit. A superb editor with a host of user created plug-ins. I could do the css as well, in fact I sometimes do quick tweaks this way but my preference is to use TopStyle. TopStyle has a 'Lite', free version as well as the paid for version.

TopStyle from http://www.newsgator.com/

HTML-Kit from http://www.chami.com/html-kit/
