Agreed, Sypher, but not all automatic email is Spam. We use automated emails on our own site to send order confirmations to people who use the site to book PHP courses, and also to send ourselves copies of the order, and the Webforumz site itself sends out emails to confirm similar actions, as well as bulk newsletters from time to time.

Do you have background information not available to me that tells you that "art" is looking to send spam? As I read the original post, the question could very well be about how to send out legitimate automated emails without them being marked up as spam. I could certainly add one or two tips along those lines, but wouldn't want to go against the wishes / decisions of a moderator in doing so. It might also be useful if "art" could enlighten us - though he would have to be very brave to do so now after the reaction he got to his very first post.
