mult1med1a.com

Hi Everyone,

Your critique is welcome: http://www.mult1med1a.com

I'm a graphic designer 1st, so I'm not the best coder... I'm also having some major browser compatibility issues with the vertical dhtml scrollers on every brower except explorer.

Help is much needed and most welcome,

Thanks,

N.

Re: critique mult1med1a.com

Hi,

Your site looks great. Although it is a little bit image intensive and not very search engine friendly. I would perhaps have some content on your home page otherwise you may have some problems ranking.

Also, keep your javascript external rather than internal. And I was looking for your home button?

But the design is really cool. Perhaps you just need to work a little more to making it more user and se friendly.

Anyway thats my 2 cents.

Re: critique mult1med1a.com

Nice looking site, very nice.

I, also, was looking for the home button. You're on to a winner here but I think you need to consider either of these options:
  1. If you want to continue writing the website itself, take the time to look at your coding methods. Check out some sites on web standards and accessibility. Also look into CSS based design as a way of getting your very cool looking site to conform to these standards.
  2. If you're more bothered about the look of the site from a designer's standpoint and want to concentrate more on the graphical side of things, why not join forces with a standards compliant web developer who will be able to write top notch code for your top notch design?
You've got a good thing going here. Realise it's full potential.

Re: critique mult1med1a.com

I took a look at your site and here are my comments:

1. My first impression of the site is the typeface of the name at the bottom of the home page looks alittle out of place considering all other text on the page looks typewritten.
2.The spatters on the page when hovering over the links (and on other pages), looks like blood (by design?). If it is supposed to represent ink, maybe make it blue?
3. There is no "home" link on the other pages
4. On the Web Design page, it would be nice to have each of the samples link to a full-size sample to get a better visual.
5. The 'links' in the upper right hand corner doesn't link to anything. Is it supposed to?

I like the visual of the website, it's different (except for the red spatters).

Hope this helps.
