Cool Two Questions....Not sure if I'm in the right Place.

I'm not even sure if i'm in the right area but here's my question....

Does Anyone know where I can get a Free (or cheap) upload app. so my users can upload file to my website?

Also. I want a free (or cheap) forum program and if anyone knows of anything that would be great!

Thanks
Nick

P.S. I also have been looking for a blog program with the same criteria - not as important as the other two.

for forums try phpBB or Invision Power Boards
for blogs wordpress
for uploads head over to HotScripts and look around - im sure you'll find one.

Re: Two Questions....Not sure if I'm in the right Place.

I knew about vbulliton because I asked someone that uses it, what forum system they used and thats what they said (i know thats what you use too) I like it a lot. It's just I don't really have any money to buy it with right now.
Is it really worth it to pay $160 for something and then you give it to everybody to use.
I know that must be what you did Rob, but my wallet is just not that friendly

I know this has nothing to do with it but out of curiocity I have two other questions,
1. How would you make a system of users where they can sign up and have an account like on Adobe.com for example.
2. how would you be able to charge people for things, using a credit card, other than paypal.

And thanks sypher but I found it on google already, gotta love that google. I typed in hotscript.com and some baby popped up and I was like "that can't be right" so i said "this sounds like a job for....google" it was the second listing.

Your best sticking to the free forum software for now, as for making user accounts. That can be done through PHP/mySQL

Re: Two Questions....Not sure if I'm in the right Place.

You know what is really sad...I have been a member of this forum for what? a week or so and have a bunch of brownie points. I have been a member of this other forum for probably two months with almost 50 posts and giving advice and help left and right but i have nothing on that one

Also, are you familliar with SMF (simple machines forum) if so is it any good
