Trying to Emulate AOL Mail Look
I'm not a web whiz, so I need help. I'm not a fan of AOL mail, but really dig the look of their mail settings interface. I'd really like to implement a similar look where the currently selected menu item has a different background color that extends to the right and is also rounded. Any ideas?
here's what I'm talkin about: ![]() |

Re: Trying to Emulate AOL Mail Look
Just creating the look? Use css and javascript to change the colour of the background when you hover.

Re: Trying to Emulate AOL Mail Look
Exactly what sypher said. If you want the rounded corners there are a few options you have.
1. You could use an image as the background (as well as the color like sypher mentioned), as you would need the upper and lower left corners rounded. - my choice 2. You could use some cool css techniques like: http://www.html.it/articoli/niftycube/index.html (nifty corners cube) - my choice if you are advanced in CSS 3. or you could have the whole thing as an image with rollover and active states - not my recommendation
