Choosing the right technology for web design
Hi,
For designing a e-shop like web site, what's a good technology to use? Any ideas? There are lots of technologies like PHP, Perl, Java, etc. Confused on what to choose! Thanks. |

Re: Choosing the right technology for web design
That's a bit like how long is a piece of string? Depends on what your background is. How much of the techy stuff do you already know? Are you trying to build from scratch or to incorporate a shopping cart package from somewhere else? Big site, small site? ??? |

Re: Choosing the right technology for web design
Hi,
Sorry about the vague question. Am trying to build from scratch. I do know Java. But I heard that there are a lot more languages to build the site like Perl, PHP, etc (scripting languages) which I heard might be easier to do the job. Wanted to know comments from those who have designed similar websites & what was there experience with the technology they used. Thanks. |
