automated hosting in cms

hi, im not sure if im in the right place but here goes, i have recently started my own webhosting company, i have made some private sales but would like to move onto automated sales from a website. i have purchased a automated host programme called 'hostdirector' , now i have a fondence for the e107 content management system(cms) and would like to find out how i can intergrate hostdirector into working with it, now i have seen this done at www.clanwebs.co.uk but the owner will not share how he made it possible with me. can anyone tell me how i would get hostdirector to work with e107 please

many thanks

cressy

Re: automated hosting in cms

What's wrong about your host's billing software? I mean the one they provide in reselling plans.
I think to use Hostdirector you are to have ssh access to the site, so probably you can do this on a vps package only.

Re: automated hosting in cms

there is nothing wrong with there software. just that i would like to have the main site as a cms rather than a shopping site, and thier designs that come with the hostpay are not to my liking, i know it is possible and have been told that you bring the automated hosting software into your cms via a subdomain, which makes sense i guess but how i do it i dont know

As I understand this company doesn't provide in-house support and it's not a good sign at all.

If the company doesnt provide support, move. Simple as that!

Also, some hosts have billing/ordering software that comes with the reseller/vps/server package. So far, my favourite biling/ordering software is ClientExec.

Re: automated hosting in cms

I feel I need to put a couple of thing straight here:

The ClanWebs site is made using html and php, the e107 cms is not used .

Re: automated hosting in cms

well thats ok on your behalf im sure, but a friend who used to run the host we both use told me when i asked how you got the automated hosting in a design like that( its simple, he uses hostdirector via a subdomain which pulls it into his cms) and as for never been asked, i have sent three emails to clanwebs just as i sent many when i had an account with clanwebs and i got the same support i got when i was a customer, which was none. i think thats straight enough for the topic. on the not e of this thread i have sorted the problem i was having so thanks for the help guys
