Re: Moving domains

Hi,

I'm posting back because this information might help others with the same problem.

I made the switch 6 days ago (April 10th) and these are my findings.
(By "switch" I mean that every page from domain1 was 301 redirected to domain2)

- Google has indexed 43 pages on the new domain.
- Google still holds pages from both domains (not all pages have been moved yet)
- Every page indexed under the new domain is no longer indexed under the old domain.

- 123cleaners.com now appears in the search results where london-dry- cleaners.com used to be. SEE: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=london+dry+cleaners&

- Site links that were associated with london-dry-cleaners.com have not yet been generated for 123cleaners.com, but I'm this will happen eventually. That is because site links are largely based on visitor behavior and Google will gather enough data soon enough.

So far so good. Google seems to be transferring all the information regarding the old domain to the new domain and rankings have not been affected.
