Re: Visit Falmouth

Trouble with catering for so many interests on the home page, you want to get people to know almost instantly that there will be someting of use them, so that they click deeper.

If its food/accomodation orientated, then a simple topic list of types to choose from (traditional? chinese? seafood?) maybe an option, and do the hotels think of themselves in terms of ratings, four star etc. You know, give it a structure that users can 'filter' and immediately home in on their interests.

Even though I suggest a list, the other thing I dislike about some home pages is that they do try to give way too much at once, and thats just as off putting. What works is when a home page gives an essence of quality, that it can be trusted, and will give me the information I am after once I start looking. If you grab peoples interests that way, you are half way there.

Maybe not the reply you were after but you've helped me a lot on other posts recently so I thought this might be of use.
cheers
