Re: Dreamweaver Templates

What you can do to avoid the hassle of messing around with the links is create a site in dreamweaver, this automatically updates links when you change the name of a file etc.

Go to Site on the top toolbar, then select manage sites. You will see a window with the current sites you have defined on dreamweaver. To add a new site click new, then navigate to the root folder of your site.

Having a site defined on dreamweaver allows you to make small changes to you site, such as changing the name of an image or a page, Dreamweaver asks you if you would automatically update links, allowing you to make small changes easily.

What you want to do is have a folder which is the root folder of your site, this is simply the main folder of your site where all your files are saved, what you do is just to save to this folder, and it is this folder that you define as your root folder on dreamweaver.

Hope this helps

Craig
