Is Javascript Bad or Good for SEO

Wel ive been optimising my site for SEO and found that no SEO read Javascript? or anything between <javascript> and </javascript>

Is it true and if so how can you bypass this issue!!!!

You can't by pass the issue. If you have something important like menu have it also listed somewhere else - bottom of page for example.

True so put it in Html then?

depends what you want tank - is it stuff that you need search engines to see? If it is stay away from javascript.

You should always put the content of your site in 'raw' HTML. Headings go in <h> tags, paragraphs in <p>'s, lists in <ol> and <ul>, acronyms in <acronym>, links in <a> ... I could go on!

Now everything is where it should be, you're free to 'jazz' it up using CSS and Javascript with the DOM. Everything should degrade gracefully, and your users will appreciate it too (especially our friend Google)
