Java script to insert expanding banner?

hi,

I what to insert a expanding banner into my site, and I tried to put him into html page, using java script, but it not working.

so:

1. what kind of script I need to use to expand my banner?
2. what kind of script I need tu use to expand my banner also in Opera and Mozilla, not just in I.E.?

this is an example at what I intend to do, it will work just with I. E:

im sure there's some script out there thats cross-browser. I wouldn't know what to search for on google, though. Anybody know what this javascript effect is called?
