Re: where has the hosting support gone
Most bigger or middle sized web hosting companies outsource their support to 3rd parties and to people who have nothing to do with web hosting. Sometimes those who provide outsourced support don't know much about web hosting and about the company they work for.
Of course many companies claim to have real 24x7 support but they do provide it. But i think that there are still many quality web hosts... just need to know them!
