Need to align width of Float table with the table below

Hello.

I am trying to align a table (located on a float layer) with the table lying below it.

If you go to: http://www.standpipe.com/test/sch_test.html
1. Click on the "plus" sign located on the left (will unhide the top layer)
2. Now if you scroll down, you will see the there is a float layer containing a table
3. Now as you can see there is also the same table below the layer, but the width of both table do not align up correctly. I need the width of both table to be the same. Is there any way of accomplishing this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to the vertical blue lines which seperate the columns in both the floating title table and the huge content table?

Yes that is what I am referring too. I need the blue lines of the floating table to align up with those below.

Any suggestions?

I doubt it'll work as is; they are as wide as their content, plus padding, plus borders. The trouble factor is the content...

I'd assume that unless you specify widths, you're not going to get them to match up perfectly.

The problem with specifying a width is that the width of the table below might expand and thus cause misalignment. So its a temporary solution only. I want to make it so that if the width of the table below expand so does the floating table.

Is there any way to somehow tie the layer table codes with that below?

Like you said, I'm not sure if there is a solution to this but I would be interested in finding out.

Any other alternative solutions to this?
