Uploading Files to Personal Website?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a little direction before I head off on a project.

I want to add functionality to my personal web page to upload and attached files (e.g. PDF, XLS, DOC) in order to retain and store doc and info.

In addition to this, but not essential at first, I would like these to be contained in a section of the site that would be secure, accessed only by myself or by users I autorise.

What is the best way to go about doing this?

If anyone can provide any help or point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

Many thanks,

Bren.

Re: Uploading Files to Personal Website?

You will need a content management system (CMS), Joomla is pretty good!

Yes, just a CMS will work fine

Try Joomla, or as a blog model WordPress simple and perfect

Like they said, CMS is pretty good for rapid application development for your site. Save more time without sacrificing the quality and functionality.
