I think Microsoft policy has changed over the years, even Hotmail run on Unix/Apache for many many years after they bought it, it was when it needed to be upgraded that it was move to IIS.

Moving Yahoo to .net plaform I am sure will not be high on MS agenda should they succeed in purchasing Yahoo and even if they do, what is run with that? Unless you are an open source evangelist, .net is a pretty robust platform.
