CSS nav bar
On my site I've got a CSS based navigation bar, just wondering what you all think of it?
Is it alright or is it a bit boring or plain? thanks for your thoughts craig Here's the site btw: http://simplyfreeware.co.uk

I think it will look neater if you made your hover effect the same size as its normal state, other than that i like it, its simple but smart.

Also i think that the hover colours should be off-white.

Been messing around with the CSS, i think i have sorted out the different size problem :S
two more things 1. alex, can you recommend a colour code, is the one I've used alright or is there a better "off-white", cant find a code for it? 2. Is there a way to change the colour of the text when hovered over, like i can do with the background? Thanks for your help

Ok, the color is just fine with me, for now
What I want to see is the footer effect to have that shadowing effect like the one you having in your header! bg_content.jpg I'll express my idea in a minute, Hold on

I'm not big on adding colors that have no relationship to the rest of the design. So I think my choice of hover color would be the gray that you have in your logo.

You've done the header and the content shadowing thing, I think you don't have problem with the footer..
