Actually.... SOAP is a way of exposing and consuming remotely hosted functionality....
for instance, the currency converter on my guest-house website (see link in signature) operates by way of a SOAP call to a remote server to access real-time currency rates.

Hello,
I am a newbie, and although I am not familiar with SOAP, there is a website link if you are like me and trying to learn acronyms: http://acronymfinder.com/ This is what comes up when you do a search for "SOAP" on this website: http://www.acronymfinder.com/af-quer...t&Acronym=soap There are over 387,000 acronyms you can look up on this website and being in computers, there are a lot of acronyms as you know.
