[SOLVED] Links from inside swf to html pages

Hello,

I have a flash movie with links to html pages. These links are set to open in a blank page (target="_blank") but when I play the movie and click the links they instead open in the same window and stop the movie.

My goal is to have the new html pages appear over the still-playing movie in the background, then just be closed with a button (instead of clicking back), so the movie is not restarted from the beginning.

Is there something further that should be done to accomplish this? Is setting the target not enough in flash? This is driving me a little crazy...

when i click on images they should open in a new window or something else ?

In action script, I set the link buttons to get the URL in target blank onRelease.

(Is that what you were asking me?)

Some of the images link, but they all link to the same php file. I want all the links (image and text) to open the html page in a new browser window, instead of stopping the swf movie by opening in the current window.

I mean the exact code that you are using in actionscript, copy it here...

Sorry it took me a bit to get back here ...

On digging further, I found that even though the action script for the buttons had the blank target, the text links underneath were not set to have blank targets. Fixing that fixed the problem!
