Should I preload these images

I have heard that you can perload an image allowing it to display faster when the page is loading. How can I do that for my navigation images?

Would it be worth it, because there is a slight delay when hovering sometimes?

That is a good idea! OK, here's what you do:

HTML: Select all

<script language="javascript">
image1 = new Image();
image1.src = "image1.gif";

image2 = new Image();
image2.src = "image2.gif";

<!-- etc... -->
</script>

Then, insert the correct image sources.

That should do it!
