Help: Problem displaying all my streaming videos

Hi there

Its been awhile in this forum but would appreciate anyone's help on this one .

I have been trying to view all my streamed videos on 1 page but everytime I go on it or even my very own neighbour (friends/family) who tries as well, only 2 of the videos are showing.

I believe that the links are perfectly fine cause it still works offline from my own laptop but for some reason some of the videos look like they are not linked for reason

Can anyone explain why it doesnt show all the videos?

Re: Help: Problem displaying all my streaming videos

Maybe its because of speed limit on your internet connection that can not handle streaming all videos...

Re: Help: Problem displaying all my streaming videos

True!! So your saying in order to view all videos, you have to get a faster internet connection?

So should I only use a few videos on 1 page instead of a whole bunch of them?

Many thanks in advance

Maybe one or two, because not everybody has the fast internet connections

Re: Help: Problem displaying all my streaming videos

Trying to stream that many videos at one time isn't good and you will always end up with your page being really slow.

My advice would be to create a .swf that shows a screeen shot of the video, along with a big "play me" button. when the button is pressed it will then stream down / call in the .flv file from your server.

Your users will then be able to access the content they want, when they want. it will also have less load on your servers.

I would also split it up into a few pages to make it easier to navigate and find information.

Hope that helps.

I thought the video shouldnt be streaming until the user clicks the button on the player. However, if the videos are being called in from the server automatically by loading which I didnt know, then I guest your abosutely right by creating a "play me" button to call in the .flv from the server.

Yes this this helps alot but first let me try and figure out how to create this button to play the videos

Damn!! Does anyone know where I can get info on creating a "Play button" first so on mousedown, the video is streaming without having to use the player.

Many thanks in advance
