Google hates paid links for PR

It is well documented that Google dislikes paid links for PR. However is the organisation whiter than white?

To be listed on Googles enterprise solution page it costs $10,000

This backs up my earlier theory that Google is not against paid links, it was against the methods being used by a network of high ranked directories.

Re: Google hates paid links for PR

Why are you so focused on paid directories even few link selling sites have dropped their ranking.

Re: Google hates paid links for PR

Hi Andy,

I focus on many subjects regarding search engines, as an SEO provider it is a crucial aspect of my work. I also pay particular interest in directories as I own one. sites go up and down the rankings all the time, this is a natural process especially with Google. However the directories I mentioned were not simply moved down the rankings they were issued with a penalty, this is evident by the fact they do not list in the organic listing for their own name.

They must have been selling links as sponsors links passing their PR for only those links.

Yes.Quite right.Google first shocked those who purchased and sold links in the October ,2007 update when it didn't count the links that were purchased from directories via paid or premium subscriptions. It made it clear that any subscriptions or trading of links without the adsense account will not be legitimate by Google.Directories that sells links will have their ISP'S banned and websites that purchased the links without their adsense account will not have the links counted. So you either have an adsense account. To be more cautious it has already conducted two updates in two months already this year compared to three updates for PR last year and four the year before.
