Since my needs are pretty basic, the most important thing for me is responsive support, sending me a few notification if my site reaches the bandwidth limit is also important, not just suspending my account. I'm hosted with ahosting.biz, they are up to my demands so far.

That's an essential feature that you've mentioned to be informed about your resources being near the edge and i know that hosts' policies are different in this respect, some may send a few notification and offer upgrade, some- place on a special server untill some decision is taken by the owner, and others- cancel account.
You are lucky to have the host who is helpful in this respect. And is it usually in host's TOS? What do ahosting.biz say about it in their TOS?
