How do I make sure that my unordered list does not display any symbols?

I tried type="none" but that doesn't work

list-style: none;
}

try the following:

<ul style="list-style:none;">

however you should use css to style everything.

<style>
.list ul {
list-style:none;
blah: blah;
}
</style>
