[SOLVED] What happened to the rep points?

Hey guys. Maybe it's a bug, but it seems the rep points are gone. Check your user profiles, no more green (or red) blips! The little tick/cross for adding/taking away rep points below the name is gone too... What's going on? Admin is screwing around again.

Wow, you guys must live on Webforumz. We just disabled the system about 5 minutes ago. We decided it would be best for Webforumz, due to two things.

First, it will speed up load time by 4k, and take less load on the server. Since Webforumz.com is not hosted on a dedicated server, and is having loading issues this will help some. We are also working a few other things that will make the site load much faster.

Two, I get PM's all the time about this, and I'm sure Karinne does as well.

Members abuse the reputation system, and then leave the staff team to clean up the negative points when they complain.

Thanks for explaining, Jacob! I see what you mean about the negative reps. Good point. Personally, I think this is better for WebForumz...

PS:Yes, I do! I spend my entire weekend here. I just love helping people...

That's great, but for those of you that do like reputation points, I have a few ideas for a replacement, that should be less hassle for the end user.

Sounds good! I'll be looking out for that...

Reputation points are also very discerning for the new user with no points walking into a new place, knowing nobody who al have loads. I think not having the rep system breaks down a few barriers.

I like helping when I can too. Also newer members may not have known about the adding of rep points when other members have helped them

That's true Ad. The first rep point I ever received was a negative one, and I want bonkers wondering how that could have happened...
