Walking along a plane
I've found loads of tutorials for moving a sprite like an aerial view as in facing down. Like this one, http://www.kirupa.com/developer/acti...ogramming4.htm
But I haven't found one for walking along, as if side-on to the sprite. An example of this would be the way you can walk along, jump and stand on platforms in this game, http://portal.wecreatestuff.com/ Does anyone know of any tutorials for this?

PLATFORM that's the word in the back of my head I knew I should of been searching for even though I actually said it in that post ha!
