Important notice for domain administrators

I have found a way to compromise global restrictions in windows network environments!
See if you are protected,
http://www.alexgeek.co.uk/blog/16-Re...l-restrictions

It involves just pulling out a cable so i dont know how you would protect against it besides super glue

Re: Important notice for domain administrators

Since you disconnected it from the network doesn't that mean the only thing you can mess with is that particular machine?

Thats the whole point! You can easily damage a group of PC's if you done that to every computer on that network.

This usually isn't the case.
you will still be logged onto the network and therefore you could run sniffer programs and run other malicious attacks!

Please digg this if you like it

Wow Alex! Becoming a regular hacker, huh? Just kidding! And you're right, administrators need to super glue their cables...

Re: Important notice for domain administrators

I discovered this by accident! I was joking with my mate lewis and pulled the cable out to find that my start menu had changed a lot. So I tried to run some .exe files and they worked

Re: Important notice for domain administrators

Accidental crime! Again, just kidding. I will try this as soon as I can... But I don't really need it, because I have the password for the administrative account for the network I use, so I can run .exe files on any computer anyways . I will probably take care of this problem at my school by disabling it through the system control panel. I hope it works, since otherwise I'll have to get someone to use that super glue. I thank you for making me aware of this...

Re: Important notice for domain administrators

That's the problem! I've found nothing you can do in admin/control panel.

Who the hell would think of that, apart from you Alex..!

Now every pupil/student in the land will be doing this and Microsoft will have to bring out yet another patch!!
