Hi guys, I submited this site a while ago and we have now made changes.

This is a site that a friend and I built up together using oscMax as the backbone for someone who has started there own business selling tyres.

We know that the site doesnt validate. Just after your opinions on what you think of the site. Theres a couple of things I dont like on the site but the people who wanted the site like them so I cant change them.

So if you could take a couple of minutes to have a glance and leave your feedback we will be very greatful.

Cheers

Chopperwelsh

You may want to cut down the size of the images! Take a while to load.

Re: Tyrefinders.co.uk (RE-SUBMITED)

Nice site. I like the army-ish font. However, I suggest doing something a bit less simple for the navigation. Use "buttons" instead of simple links. That will add style.
Just curious :: what is it that you want to change, but can't, because the people that you made the site for like it? If we know, it will give us an idea of what to leave alone when we're critiquing.

You are using tables and you have 12 validation errors...

You could do with switching the tables to CSS and div's, after all, tables are for tabular data (e.g. League table). Not layout

Re: Tyrefinders.co.uk (RE-SUBMITED)

Hi yeah, the text on the front page is something we cant change and the phone number on the top annoys me cause i think the 4's look like 9's.

Also the menu looks alittle plan, but they like the look of the site at the moment.

Also as explained above, we know that it wont validate and thats because the site is built using oscMax as a backbone. oscMax is a beefed up version of osCommerce. This is why everything using tables. It would take forever to convert the whole of oscMax to not use tables so it will validate.

Re: Tyrefinders.co.uk (RE-SUBMITED)

Hmm, I see... May I suggest then, that you use css to style the input fields (the login form, the search form with all of those drop down boxes, and the small search field further down on the left) to make them look like the rest of the page... Make the border a dark gray or orange color, and the background color (what is white at the moment) a light gray color. After all, they look plain and default right now...
