Gridiant
Hi gang,
I recently launched a new online flash game. Please take a peek and lemme know what you think. The more critical the better. http://www.brainormous.com Thanks, Aaron T. |

Re: Gridiant
Hmm... Interesting game. I like the graphics and the sounds (including background music). I also like the fact that it gets you hooked. I was playing it for nearly half an hour, which reminds me :: It's too easy to get points. I ended up with around 8,500. And that after a five minute game. Make more obstacles or at least one or two objects that will reduce your score...
Other than that, great game!

Re: Gridiant
I think it is fun and the instructions are very clear. I actually thought it was a little hard haha. It was hard to find the poles farther back, but that's the point of them being back there I think. Good job.

Re: Gridiant
That's great!
The instructions are superb; but provide a "back" link as well as "next". Cut out the black squares. The secret of these kinds of games is to have a few simple elements combining to make something interesting. The black squares are complexity for complexity's sake. They don't actually do anything except confuse the player. Also, it is very fast; perhaps you could have a "training" mode, where the speed is reduced by about three times? There's so many things popping up and disappearing; you hardly get a chance to observe the effects of the various items. Slow the whole game down for a training mode, and then players can more easily learn how it works. I also think you may have a few too many different colours for the balls. There seem to be many situations where, no matter how skilful and fast the player might be, it's impossible to avoid penalties. Last edited by MikeHopley; Nov 11th, 2007 at 12:40. |

Re: Gridiant
Thanks everyone for the excellent and thorough feedback. I especially like the idea of a training mode to get used to the game.
Thanks a bunch, Aaron T. |

Re: Gridiant
I haven't been keeping track much, but I'd estimate around 80 hours.
