Things i need to know

okay while finishing off this website i have been doing on and off for the last month, big man has now gone over it and wants some things to be slightly changed but i don't know how to do them. And some problems that im having with HTML Strict. Used to transitional the easy days...

1) <a href="#"><img src="x" border="0"></a>
This are some little alternate navigation buttons at bottom of content and if i don't use 'border="0"' i get a stroke around the image. Border is not a supported attribute, so what should i use instead?

2) Im using tables to display data, because i will intergrate a control panel later for which the big man can edit etc. I need the text to align top in the css? again attribute is not supported anymore.

3) <label for"x"> <span class="xx">Name</span></label>
<input etc>

Why do i get lots of errors for doing this? :S

Been doing loads of research and answered alot of my own questions! but i just can't find anything on these that is working for me.

Site is mostly working, changing a few things from my last thread still at this moment.

1. "<img src="x" />" needs a closing slash. You can style the image border using CSS:

HTML: Select all

img { border:0; }

2. Not sure. I've never done much with CSS and tables.

3. "<input etc />" also needs a closing slash.
