AMD or Intel?

I went with intel because that is what my laptop has and i dont know anything about hardware!

I'd go with AMD. It's just better than Intel, although Intel is more popular. It's the same thing with computers :: Mac vs. Windows. I wrote a blog post on it. Mac is better, but Windows is more popular... It's always just about popularity, about following the crowd...

It's also about support....

Perhaps you take that into consideration when purchasing a computer...but it's all really about popularity, as said above. People want what everyone else has, just cause they think it's right! That does not make it better, or worse. But as far as Apple's support, perfection! The price, yes...perhaps a little more expensive then the $300 dollar Dell. But you are getting what you pay for!

Sorry to sound like a noob, but do apple computers use both intel/amd or their own brand of processors?

Macs generally use Intel. They do not have their own processors, yet...

After this long, I doubt they ever will. I do not believe it is one of Jobs priorities.

Yeah. They couldn't even come up with a text editor as good as Microsoft Office Word. The best they've got is Appleworks, and it's crap!
