Oh boy. You need to lean how to handcode.
Check the stickies in the CSS forum.
Tables are for data, not design!
Good luck

Need a little bit more "lady's touch" there
You need to learn how to style your page with CSS. That link alex mention there, should be good enough to start with.

Cheers..

Welcome to 1994's world wide web.

This is retro chic!

I'd say follow Alex's advice. It's clear you're new to all this so sticking around here won't do you far wrong.

In a word.... No.

It looks tacky and very amature. Animated gifs are almost always a bad idea.

Re: Membership Manager. Advanced Membership Manager and Web Site Protector

Hey BonnieClash!

Quote:
Need a strong security for your website and its content? Have no time to spend on complex coding or study programming language to password protect your web site? Want to have an advanced membership management system that allows you to totally control your web site users and the areas they can access?
These questions should be bullet points. Make them Headlines and GRAB your visitors attention!

Then below, answer these questions using subheadings and brief descriptions.

Blue and black color combinations are quite boring. Would you ever wear those two colors together? If you said Yes... then let me tell you.. you shouldn't!

The site is too square! You need to break up some of the edges...It's got really hard edges right now. Too boxy.

You need some images that will express your thoughts.

The navigation is too simple. Anyone can do that.. So up the anty and do something with more "wow".

Now for the code! Advice #1.. take your copy of Frontpage and and burn it, remove it from your computer and forget it ever existed.
You do not have a doc type, this is made in tables with all your css in the html. NOT GOOD!
At a minimum upgrade to Web Expressions and ONLY use it in code view.
This site is poorly constructed code wise so I would suggest you completely start over.

code 0/5
design 1/5
accessibility 0/5
overall 1/5

I hope this helps... I don't intend to hurt your feelings but I know you are here to be educated. That is my goal.. simply to educate.

Re: Membership Manager. Advanced Membership Manager and Web Site Protector

Wow, thats a canny domain name you've got there.

The blue you've used, theres far too much of it and its very dark. Try adding images and add structure to your content.

First of all it's GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) a gift is something you get on your birthday....

Secondly, because they look tacky and usually are quite big files for what they are because it's not one image, but several.

If you MUST have animation (I can't believe I'm saying this) use flash. It has small file sizes and can produce some very professional looking results. However, don't use lightning. What on earth does it have to do with your business?

Your priority should be to get your HTML spot on before you're concerned about the pretty bells and whistles.
