Navbar help

Hello,

I am trying to come up with a good navigation bar for my website. The one i have now is ok. But i feel that if i had a good navigation bar it would liven up the page alittle. But i am stumped. I know the way to get good looking navbars is to use images but i dont want to have my page take forever to load. so does anyone have good ideas about the look and feel of my navbar?

My site http://www.maniacstudios.com

Re: Navbar help

I think the navigation is great actually.
Nice and simple.
Really not sure what you need but it is missing something.

Re: Navbar help

Maybe have a look on cssmania.com and incorporate some of their ideas?

Re: Navbar help

Have a look here and see if you get any inspiration. I don't think you can go too fancy since the rest of your design is "simple and uncluttered".

Re: Navbar help

Haven't you spelt professional wrong in your website?

Anyway, I think it looks OK like it is but i do see your point. It is a nice simple, uncluttered website which is easy on the eye. Maybe you could have a background image for your hover which would be a very small file size

Re: Navbar help

I think you need some contrast between the foreground and background.
And also possibly make it wider.

Re: Navbar help

I think that happened since you made the container width 900...

Re: Navbar help

It looks fine. Not much different in my opinion.

The navigation is an area that you could do something with a little more zing!
