Christmas Special CSS Sheet For My Shop

I'd like a "Happy Holiday" theme and image for my shop. It needs to look a whole lot like my current skin, but needs to be Christmas-y and holiday-ish. I would love something spectacularly, but not overwhelming.

My shop site is: EGT Online Shop: "A Place for Creativity and Character"

This is for a little more than suggestions, i'd like to see your creative juices and creative ideas in action. I'd love to have your ideas and images used, and of course you'll get credit where its do.

~I know you all have great ideas, so Thanks in advance!

Throw a santa hat and a tash / beard on your logo and sprinkle snow on the top of your banner text... maybe?

a little less originality.

Something unique, I'll try the two above ideas. I'll see what come's out. Still looking for more ideas.

Re: Christmas Special CSS Sheet For My Shop

You really do like to focus on irrelevant stuff!

If you want to make money, you'd better get your priorities right: sort out your basic site design first. Don't waste time on holiday-themed stylesheets, or other natty features.

According to all of you, the style is basically, done. And as for the 'Natty' Features, sometimes I just can't help my self. I get an idea, and wam, its the most important thing of the day. (as any good developer will tell you)

Any good developer would tell you that he follows a logical design plan that places the business needs first.

What you are describing is the approach of a hobbyist: "I feel like doing this on my website". For someone who treats the website as a business, the approach will be: "What do I need to do to make this maximally profitable for the minimum cost?"

Re: Christmas Special CSS Sheet For My Shop

ya, my artistic expression rubbed in.

I really don't expect much revenue or profit till the first of the shop's official quarter (Jan 1.) sence its to late to be included in this quarter's reports.

And as for cost, if I own ( and payed for it ) I don't want to waste it. You are right tho.

As for the shop, I believe I won't be adding to it. Instead i'll be working on EGT's main site. But someone parked the domain, and wants $500 something for it.

If you have any ideas of another good domain name.
Originally i wanted 4EGTv.net with the slogan (Are You 4 EGTv?)
The slogan doesn't work with any of our themes.
So I am in need of help.

Re: Christmas Special CSS Sheet For My Shop

Don't get me wrong -- I suffer from a similar weakness: because I'm interested in web design, I spend much longer improving my design than is justifiable from a business perspective. Consequently, my business does not get started as quickly as it could.

I'm trying to turn a hobby into a business, and making that transition is often difficult.

Re: Christmas Special CSS Sheet For My Shop

I total agree.

Frankly a Hobby starts a business, but taking that hobby to business level requires expiernce and a lot of 'trial and error.'

I guess i'm closing this post. Its really not relivante until next Christmas. If nay of you could help me in advertising please just go ahead and go to the marketing help post I posted.
